How to wear the Pantone Color(s) of the Year
I never paid much attention to the Pantone Color of the Year until I started designing clothes for other people. If you've never heard of it, it's basically what the Pantone peeps see as color trends shaping our culture in the coming year. Every year its different and fascinating. This year they chose Rose Quartz & Serenity (the first time they've ever picked two). For all intents and purposes, that's pink and baby blue, lol.
So I thought, "hey, why not show the ladies how to incorporate these new color trends into their wardrobe!" I'm still playing around with them myself, as I'm not much of a pastel person, but keep reading and we can find some outfit inspiration together!
First up, our Wide Stripe Pleated Skirt paired with a Rose Quartz colored cardigan and sassy snake skin heels. Perfect for the office and drinks afterwards!
Second, a classy yet sassy look with a Serenity colored turtleneck paired with our Fibonacci Midi Skirt. Add a pink and blue silk scarf, tied Parisienne style and you have another chic business casual look.
Finally, a super casual weekend look that I couldn't help but share with you. This would be my go-to look even during the week and a work-at-home mama with two little people to chase around. It's casual yet stylish and incorporates that sweet Pantone Rose Quartz hue in a slightly edgy way. Definitely my favorite of the three.
Hopefully this has inspired you and given you ideas on how to incorpprate the Pantone Color(s) of the Year into your 2016 wardrobe. We'll be sure to revisit these colors with outfits for each season thoughout the year.
